Collagen

 

This is only going to be a short one.
I know that when I was riding, nutrition was a vital part of my preparation, so it was with more than a passing interest when I came across a site that was promoting collagen supplements for health and fitness.
Collagen is a vital part of our very existence, it helps develope strong bones and teeth, is good for the skin and hair, but from a sportsmans point of veiw, it helps with recovery from injury (which we all suffer from every now and then) it also speeds up the repair of connective tissue and ligaments.
It has also been reported as a valuable agent in the treatment of arthritis.
